Rose M. Hobrat, age 84, of Sullivan, died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at her home after a short illness. She was born April 28, 1923 in Adah, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Mike and Helen (Sabo) Basich. Mrs. Hobrat had moved to Cleveland in 1958 and to Nova in 1988. She had played the organ for several churches in Adah, Pa., at St. Emerick's in Cleveland and part time at the Nova Catholic Mission Church where she had been a member.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Webb of Sullivan; 3 granddaughters, 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Elizabeth Jupina of Cleveland; 5 brothers, Robert, Michael, Stephen, James and Charles Basich all of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hobrat; her son in law, Wayne Webb, 5 brothers, Frank, Ed, William, Vincent and Albert Basich.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Rev. Ron Bryda officiating. Burial will follow at the Nova Cemetery.
