Rose Marie Hoffman, 73, of Wellington, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. She was born on December 10, 1937 to the late Stephen and Mary (nee Toth) Free.
For 46 years she owned and operated Hoffman's Greenhouse. Rose Marie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Her hobbies included arrowhead hunting and marathon shopping with her sister.
Survivors include her sons, Brian (Karen) Hoffman, Sr. and Paul Hoffman, both of Wellington; grandson, Brian Hoffman, Jr. and great grandson, Shane. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Free, of San Francisco, and her favorite dog, Mr. Dickens. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, from 6-9 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
