Obituary

Rosemary Norma Hardy passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage Tennessee following a short illness. Born in Oberlin, Ohio to Norman and Gertrude Burke, she was a graduate of Oberlin High School and Oberlin Business College.

Her adult life was spent in Wellington raising her five children while holding different positions at Cleveland Steel, Rockwell International and Forest City.

Her children include Lynn (Betsy) Gray of Oberlin, Rosanne (Thomas) Storrow of Wellington, Garry (Amanda) Gray of Sullivan, Jerry Gray of Wooster, Julianne (Tony) Vestal of Mt. Juliet, TN, and husband of 38 years, Samuel of Mt. Juliet, TN. Rosemary had 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Samuel and Rosemary moved to Mt. Juliet, TN outside of Nashville in 2000. There she became "Nanny" for the three young grandchildren. Rosemary enjoyed her flower gardens and picking out new plants every spring. Cooking and baking for everyone was a major priority to her. Numerous weekly trips to her Walmart nearby kept her active as well as staying in touch with friends and family on the phone. Come Sunday's in the fall, don't bother her when it was time for Tennessee Titans football. With her comforter and recliner she was ready hours before game time.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 1-2 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington. There will be a private service and burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Social distancing will be enforced and masks will be required.
