EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Russell E. Crawford, age 52, of New London, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 after a sudden illness. He was born July 12, 1954 in Norwalk, Ohio. He had lived most of his life in the Clarksfield and New London areas. Mr. Crawford was a 1973 graduate of New London High School. He had worked at Pentair Pump in Ashland since 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of New London, where he was active as an Olympian leader working with grades 1 - 6, a trustee, usher, bus driver, grounds keeper and many other things. He was a former assistant Little League coach in New London. He loved NASCAR and especially driver Tony Stewart #20. He is survived by his wife, Linda A. (Hall) Crawford, whom he married February 22, 1974; a son, Andre' (Kristy) Crawford of Killeen, Texas; a daughter, Jennifer Crawford of New London; 2 grandsons, Ross and Connor Crawford of Texas; his father, Harry B. Crawford, Sr. of Wakeman; 4 brothers, Walter Crawford of Tiffin, Harry Crawford, Jr. of Wakeman, Ronnie Crawford of Amherst, Mike Crawford of Ashland; 4 sisters, Vickey Classen of Milan, Pam Reep of Port Clinton, Renee Sword and Ronda Wilson both of New London. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Crawford in 1994 and his grandmother, Mae Duffett. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at the First Baptist Church, 432 Park Ave., New London. Rev. Dan Moore will officiate and burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London are in charge of arrangements.
