Russell Jay Hilditch, 80, of Wellington, entered into eternal peace on March 9, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1936 in East Liverpool, OH. Russ retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. Russ enjoyed traveling with family and being an ever present supporter of his grandchildren's chosen activities. His infectious laugh and witty sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Russ is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (nee Bauman); children Tim Hilditch (Nancy), Laurie Auble (Duane), and Scott (Cindy) Hilditch; grandchildren Sarah (Brady) Bryant, Jenna Hilditch, Alison (Evan) Renard, Megan Auble (Ben) and Hannah Hilditch; great granddaughter Brielle Bryant; nephew Eric (Carrie) Spencer, with their children Shane, Evan and Alexa; niece Lisa Bauman (Scott) and nephew David Bauman (Brittany) and their children Lincoln, Landon and Bella. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Wellington on March 18 at 3 pm, 127 Park Place, followed by a memorial service at 4 pm with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Well Help of Wellington, 127 Park Place; Wellington Senior Bus, 115 Willard Memorial Square, or charity of choice.
