Russell A. Oney

Russell A. Oney, 69, of New London, OH, died on August 5, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 26, 1956, in Willard, Ohio, the son of the late Betty (Fulton) and Kenneth M. Oney.

A 1975 graduate of South Central High School, Russell was employed by Conrail Railroad as a trackman, where he retired after 24 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and often went fishing. He liked a good game of poker and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Russell is a former member of the New London Eagles.

Russell is survived by his life partner and companion, Annette Martin of New London; brothers, Mark (Sandy) Oney of Delphi, OH, Mike (Carla) Oney of Greenwich, OH and Kevin (Shawn) Oney of Greenwich, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Kenneth Oney.
