Ruth Gipson, 77, of Wellington, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012. She was born on March 29, 1935 to the late Finley and Annabelle (Lawhun) Rister in Greenup County KY. Ruth lived most of her adult life in the Cleveland and Lorain area. Ruth served as a pastor's wife, helping her husband in many aspects of ministry with the Pentecostal Church of God of America. She built her life around helping people and was passionate about charitable work. Ruth is survived by her husband of 57 years, Everett, her children, Roger Gipson of New London, Patricia Gipson, Tereasa Rhodes, and Vickie Noll all of wellington, daughter in laws Connie, Christine and Colleen, son in law Goerge, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Ernest and Jessie Rister and Lois Fraley. She was preceded in death by her son Jack and several siblings. Friends will be received on Friday, April 13 from 5-7 p.m. with a short service beginning at 7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington. Services and burial will take place in Vansberg, KY at a later date.
