Ruth M. 'Randleman' Johnson, age 79, of Oberlin, died Monday, March 2, after a short illness. She was born January 24, 1930 in New London, daughter of the late Ralph J. and Mary Louise (Lowery) Randleman. Ruth had lived in Oberlin since 1960. She worked at the Willow Lee Nursing Home and the Welcome Nursing Home both of Oberlin, the Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, and had been the head baker at Oberlin College.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and singing.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (James) Yates of Pendleton, KY., Donzella (Lloyd) Gass of Bel Air, Maryland, Jennie Graves of Anchorage, Alaska; her son, Harold Thompson of Elyria; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Randleman of New London; a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, James Toby Moman and an infant grandson.
Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
