Ruth H. Jones, age 60, of Marlborough, Mass. and formerly of Greenwich died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Marlborough Hospital. She was born July 12, 1947 in Greenwich, Ohio, daughter of the late Allie R. and Zada Mae (Gilliam) Jones. She grew up in Greenwich. Ms. Jones was a graduate of Beaver High School. She had lived in Framingham, Ma. for more than 20 years and most recently in Marlborough, Ma. She had worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Welfare Dept. for 30 years. Ms. Jones was a member of the Framingham First Baptist Church. She liked to travel, go to garage sales, crafts and family. She loved her job and the people she had worked with.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Jones of Framingham, Ma.; 2 grandchildren, George Bolosky of Framingham, Ma. and Elizabeth Munise of Eastham, Ma.; 4 brothers, Robert Jones of New Haven, Therman (Doris) Jones, C.L. Jones all of Greenwich,
Ray (Renita) Jones of Norwalk; her sister, Corinne (Alfred) Oney of Greenwich; her sister in law, Edna Jones of Greenwich. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Emitt E. Jones and in infancy Danny Jones, her sister, Emma Jean Wright.
Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich with Pastor David Cobb of the Ripley Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
