Ruth E. Perkins, 93 passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.  She was born to the late Albert and Mable (Myers) Nickoli on January 24, 1926 in Clarksfield, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident.  Ruth graduated from Norwalk High School and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk, Ohio. She worked for Churchill's Grocery Store, Norwalk Furniture, delivered papers for the Sandusky Register, and was a short order cook at Berry's Restaurant for 30 years. Ruth was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 2743 Women's Auxiliary in Norwalk, Ohio and she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, jigsaw puzzles and puzzle books.  She especially loved watching her grandchildren and spending time with them.  Ruth is survived by her children, Dale I. (Jan) Perkins, and Nancy L (Ron) Felter, all of Norwalk, Ohio, by her sister, Mary (Harold) Fries of Willard, Ohio, by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Perkins in 1988, by her son, Robert P. Perkins in 2018, by her daughter in law, Elaine M. Perkins and by her siblings, Kenneth Nickoli, Evelyn Nickoli, and Gladys Stierhoff.  Friends may call on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Pastor Ann Marshall of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Meadow Green Cemetery, Huron, Ohio.
