Obituary

Ruth Marilyn Shultz, 85, of Greenwich, OH passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Sunday evening, November 28, 2021 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

Ruth was born on March 9, 1936 in Shenandoah, OH to the late Argie and Rhea (neé Enzor) Rogers.

Ruth graduated from Ruggles Troy High School as a member of the class of 1954.  She married Robert Shultz on December 10, 1955.  She later attained an associate's degree in Nursing before becoming a homemaker.  Ruth was busy raising their two sons, with that goes PTA, bake sales, and Scouting.  She was active in Newcomers Club, playing bridge, and her Sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, decorating and there isn't a craft project she hadn't done at one time or another.  Ruth was Bob's right hand helper and "gofer" for his many projects.

Ruth lived in Puerto Rico for 26 years and became a serious seashell collector and had a business in her home for many years selling her artwork.  Upon their return to Ohio, Ruth was a member of the North End Church of Christ in Ashland.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Shultz; 2 sons, Michael Shultz of Greenwich and Mark (Colleen) Shultz of Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron) Cain, Michaela (Christopher) Cox, Matthew Shultz and Sophie Shultz and 2 great-grandchildren, Maddox Cain and Marcus Cox.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Duane Rogers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, OH 44837. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11 am. Pastor Darren Adkins will be presiding. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
