Ruth Ann Werdebaugh, 84, a Wellington resident since 1963, died Monday, April 24, 2023 at UH Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. On April 18, 1939, Ruth was born into a large family to Clarence and Ethen (nee June) Remmele in Adrian, MI.

Her faith was an important part of her life; Ruth was an active member of the Lincoln Street Chapel in Wellington and served as the church treasurer for over 50 years.  Ruth loved watching old westerns and enjoyed playing solitaire and completing word search puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Dave Werdebaugh, Lori Werdebaugh and Bobbi (Steve) Marchand, all of Wellington; son-in-law, Matthew Sparks, of Wellington; daughter-in-law, Carrie Werdebaugh, of Wellington and grandchildren, Ian, Adam, Nicole and Alex.  Ruth is also survived by siblings, Judy Snead and Toni Remmele, both of Adrian, MI and Jack Remmele of Ypsilanti, MI. She was preceded by her daughter, Debra Sparks and siblings, Richard, Clarice, Cleo, Larry, Dennis, and Vicki.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, April 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lincoln Street Chapel, 139 Lincoln Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Monday, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
