Ryan James Poznako, 'Poz', 22, of Wellington, died Friday, September 23, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on April 1, 1989 in Oberlin to Jim and Terri (nee Jordan) Poznako. Ryan was a 2008 graduate of Wellington High School.
Ryan was currently employed by Medina Blanking. While in High School Ryan was an active member of FFA and also played on the Wellington Soccer team as a goal keeper. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Wellington. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was looking forward to the opening of deer season this year. Ryan also loved being with his family and was especially proud to be a father and an uncle.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Jim (Barbara) Poznako and Terri (Tom Banks) Poznako. He is also survived by his loving Fianc'e, Carissa Walker and his son Gage Poznako. Other survivors include his sister Nicole (Ryan) Scott, step sisters Chelsea, Molly, and Leslie Castle, his niece Josie Scott, grandparents Sid and Ardith Jordan, and Pete and Mary Ann Poznako, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 27 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. all at the First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Place, Wellington, where services will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 11 a.m. Rev. Lea Mahan officiating. Donations in memory of Ryan may be given to a fund through First Merit bank set up for his son, Gage.
