Sandra A. Byron

Sandra A. Byron, 78, of Norwalk, OH died on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Norwalk Memorial Home. Sandra was born on November 26, 1947, in Norwalk to the late Leslie and Eleanor (Cole) Darling.

She spent her entire life in the Norwalk area, where she found joy in the simple things. Quiet by nature and a true homebody, she was happiest in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. Her caring heart led her to open her home to foster children, where she offered them love, stability, and a safe place. When Sandy wasn’t at home, she could be found working for the local radio station WLKR as a receptionist.

Sandy is survived by her sons, Denny (Linda) Byron of Nova, OH and Aaron (April) Byron of New London, OH; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jacob (Lindsey), Matthew, Kennedy, Benjamin and Grady; and her sister, Deb Scott of Sandusky, foster sister, Roberta Olds of Norwalk, along with nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Eleanor Darling and a granddaughter, Leslie.
