Sandra L. "Sam" Loyer, 69, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1952 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late John Robert and Dorthea Mae (Harris) Hester.

Sandra was a loving wife to her husband, Michael Loyer of 45 years. She was a devoted mother to Christopher Jones, Glenn "Chip" Jones, Christopher Michel Loyer, Michelle Ann Loyer, and Nicholas A. Loyer. She was a sweet sister to John (Donna) Hester and James (Lisa) Hester, and numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Angela (Hester) Gundrum. She is a beloved grandmother (MeMe) to 16 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren. Her role as MeMe was one of her most important positions in life that she treasured. Sandra was a dear friend to many who she considered family and whom she loved and touched deeply.

She was talented at sewing, crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, bowling, and ceramics. She worked at New Departure for over 20 years and Zeiter's Ceramics for 5 years. The world will be a little duller and a lot less purple (her favorite color) without her bright smile and giving heart.

Her family will receive family and friends at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851 on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM with services being held at 6:30 by Pastor Richard Forman of the Norwalk Baptist Church officiating.  A graveside service at Hester Cemetery and Celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norwalk Baptist Church, 2084 US 20 W., Norwalk, Ohio  44857.   Online condolences may be expressed by visiting eastmanfuneralhome.com.
