Sandra Eileen Poorman, 81, of Ashland, died Friday, October 4, 2024, at Brethren Care Village. Born on April 6, 1943, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy (nee Ludwig) Muench. Sandra grew up in Cleveland and moved to the New London and Fitchville area in 1978.

Sandra worked as a secretary for the Farm Credit Service for many years. She was an active member of Christ Community Church in Bailey Lakes. Sandra enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, reading and caring for her dogs.

Survivors include her children David (Sally) Poorman, of Mansfield, Daniel (Danielle) Poorman, of Idaho, and Rebecca (John) Schreiber, of Norton; grandchildren, Kristen, Reed, Ashley, Seon Nu, and Sarang; and a brother, Bruce Muench, of East Lake. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Roger Poorman in 2006.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, where her Memorial Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Luke Kelley officiating.  A private family burial will take place at the Fitchville Cemetery.
