Sandy Gerber, 73, of Willard died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Ohio Health Mansfield. She left his world surrounded by her loving family and entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born February 24, 1951, in Willard to the late Katherine (Kellogg) and Ernest R. Woodworth. Sandy was a graduate of Willard High School, Class of 1969 and worked at the Willard United Bank. She previously stocked Hallmark greeting cards at Pamida and Discount Drug Mart. Sandy retired as a cook from Willard City Schools, where she spent most of her time at Richmond Elementary. Sandy enjoyed watching tennis, golf and baseball on TV. She was very active at church; often playing the piano, teaching Sunday school and most recently the card ministry at Lifepoint Community Church. She was active in the local Euchre card club for many years and enjoyed spending time with the "Richmond Girls" monthly. Sandy's most cherished possession in life was her family and the time they shared together.
Sandy is survived by her 4 sons, Chris (Jessica) Gerber of Willard, Josh (Jen) Gerber of Willard, Aaron (Hilary) Gerber of Shelby and Lucas (Katie) Gerber of Mansfield; 4 grandchildren, Bayleigh Stamper, Karlie Stamper, Avery Gerber and Hudson Gerber; 2 sisters, Joyce Woodworth and Julie (James) Arnold, both of Steuben and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert C. "Bob" Gerber in 2009; and her sister, Janet Woodworth.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Lifepoint Community Church, 260 Riggs Street, Plymouth, Ohio 44865 where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 24, 2024, with the Pastor Rich Hurles officiating. The burial will take place at Greenfield Township Cemetery, Steuben. A funeral luncheon will be provided by Church of the Master in Steuben immediately following the burial. Memorial Contributions may be made to Abigail Pregnancy Services, 124 W. Maple Street, Willard, Ohio 44890. The staff of Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W.
