Sanford Wayne, 88, of New London, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on August 29, 2017. Sanford worked from the age of 10 and continued to support his family as a carpenter for well over 50 years. He enjoyed cooking especially at holidays, always making enough food for 10 families. He also loved spending time outside and canning from his vegetable garden. The sound of whistles blowing in the background will be missed as Sanford loved cheering on Cleveland sports teams. Sanford especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, giving them treats and helping them with the time honored tradition of carving pumpkins. Sanford is survived by his wife, Ruth (Brezinski) of 43 years; daughters, Christine (Jamie) Bragg and E'Amanda (Brandon) Miller; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and other family and friends. Sanford is preceded in death by his father David; mother, Evelyn; brother, Arthur; eldest daughter, Heather and eldest grandson, Zackery. He will be missed very much by his family. Private services will be held at a later date.
