Scott C. Staschke, 64, of New London, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Toledo, on May 16, 1947, to the late Raymond and Helen (Cressman) Staschke. Scott was raised in Hartland Township and lived most of his life in New London. He was a heavy equipment operator for Funk Construction, RL Edgington Excavating and Cedar Bay Construction where he retired in 2009. Scott was a member and trustee for many years at the New London Eagles. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Broome-Wood Post 292. He played softball on several leagues for many years. Survivors include his wife, Sally (Funk); son, Kirk (Denise) Staschke of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Loriann Landoll of Columbus; grandchildren, Kyle and Cameron Staschke and Jenna, Tyler and A.J. Landoll; brothers, Creighton (Karla) Staschke of Norwalk and Gordon (Sue) Staschke of Greenwich and many nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin S. Staschke. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24 at the New London Eagles, 29 West Fir Street, New London from 1-4 p.m., there will be food and a short service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to Make a Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio, 2545 Farmers Drive, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio 43235.
