Shannon Cutcher, age 38, of Clarksfield, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at home after an unexpected illness. She was born July 23, 1973 in Norwalk. Shannon grew up in New London where she was a 1992 New London High School graduate and attended Ehove Joint Vocational School for Cosmetology. Shannon played volleyball while in school. She also lived in Vermilion, Ashland and in Clarksfield for the past several months. Shannon attended Barber College in Columbus. She worked at Innovative Support Services where she cared for MRDD Adults. Shannon also had done home health care work in Ashland, Huron and Richland Counties. She loved her dogs, movies and fishing. Shannon is survived by her husband of 5 years, James Cutcher; father, Bill Bracken and his companion, Karen D. Groves of Clarksfield; siblings, Kim (Steve) Oeken of Ashland, Brett (Nancy) Cooke of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Jamie Bracken of Milan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet M. Bracken, her grandmother, Josephine Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Memorials if desired may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
