Sharon E. Brown, 66 years old and lifelong New London resident, passed away at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk on March 1, 2016. She was born on September 15, 1949 in Willard, to the late Melvin and Barbara (Waterbeck) Deppen. Sharon graduated from New London High School in 1968. She worked on the Deppen family farm for many years. Her most important role though, was that of a loving wife, mother, grandma, and homemaker. She was a member of the Bronson-Norwalk Conservation, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the New London Eagles. Sharon was a dedicated 4-H Club advisor. She served many years as a 4-H advisor and superintendent of the pony barn at the Huron County Fairgrounds from 2001 to 2014. She will be missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Michael E. Brown; sons, Dan Brown and Tim (Heather) Brown both of New London and grandsons, Levi Brown, Kamren Brown and 1 on the way. Sharon is also survived by her siblings, Sally (Bob) Gogolin of Medina, Dennis (Diana) Deppen of New London and Bryan (Kim) Deppen of New London; step mother, Juanita Deppen of New London; mother-in-law, Helen Brown of Norwalk and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Deppen and father-in-law, Edward G. Brown. Her family will greet friends from 2-8 pm Sunday, March 6th at Eastman Funeral Home, New London. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am Monday in St. Alphonsus Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk with Rev. Doug Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Norwalk. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the Brown family in care of the Funeral Home.
