Sharon Kaye Gum, 70, of Wellington died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Born on September 29, 1948 in Oberlin, she was the daughter of the late Alva and Mary (nee Youngless) Behner. Sharon was a lifelong resident of the Wellington area. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Tracy Hall, of Washington, Kimberly Stripling, of Mississippi, and Cathi Schindley, of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Robert Behner, Nancy Snyder, and Russ Behner. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ava Sword; long time companion Bobby Sword; and granddaughter Jessica Bailey. Friends and family will gather on Monday, March 25, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, from 4-6 p.m. with services beginning at 6.
