Sharon Arlene Lange, 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at her home in Wellington. She was born on May 1, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles Mason and Gladys Mae (nee Michael) Miller. Sharon grew up in Michigan and graduated from Royal Oak High School. After a few years of college, her sense of adventure led her to Santa Monica, California, where she met Ralph Lange. After becoming engaged, she returned to Michigan to marry him and begin their life together. In 1971, Sharon and her family moved to Tucson, Arizona, but her love for the changing seasons and greenery eventually brought them to Wellington in 1989.
Sharon worked for Farmer’s Savings and was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Delta Zeta Sorority. She had a creative spirit and a gift for making the world around her more beautiful. She was a talented artist who enjoyed gardening, decorating, sewing, crocheting ,and knitting. Above all, Sharon loved her family deeply and treasured the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her children, John Mitchell (Janet) Lange, of Arizona, William Ralph Lange, Valerie Ann Lange, and Albert McCarty, of Wellington; grandchildren, Stephen, Megan (Byron), Alexis, and Charles McCarty; great-grandchildren, Serenity and Brayden; and her brother, Eric Mason Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph William Lange, and her sister, Connie Lou Dains.
