Obituary

Sharon Lee (Perry) Winiarski, 74, of New London, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her home after a brave fight with cancer. She was born September 8, 1937, in Marshalltown, Iowa, daughter of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Young) Perry. Sharon grew up in South Amherst and moved to New London in 1972. She graduated from South Amherst High School in 1955. Sharon owned and operated New London Lanes with her husband. Sharon was a member of the Bowling Proprietors Association, WIBC, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was formerly active in the PTA and involved in girls softball. Sharon coached junior league bowling for twenty-five years and received numerous awards for bowling. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill; children, Patty (Thaddeus) Sendelbach of New London, Pam Reynolds of Florida; William J. (Teresa) Winiarski of New London and Lois (Thomas) Freund of Mansfield; grandchildren, John, Lisa and Brad Reynolds, Zac and Kayla Sendelbach, David and Jenny Boggs, William H. Winiarski, Lauren, Rebecca, Max and Jack Freund and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Karen (John) Razdrh of South Amherst, Jolene (Ed) Friel of South Amherst and Georgia (Tracy) Roberts of Westlake. She was preceded in death by her sister, Billie Gene Perry. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Friday, June 15th at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held Saturday at 11am. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
