Shawn Adam Sanders, 41, of Greenwich, died unexpectedly Friday, August 1, 2014 while vacationing with his family in Williamsburg, Iowa. He was born January 18, 1973, in Norwalk. Shawn was a lifelong Greenwich resident. He was 1992 South Central High School/EHOVE graduate. Shawn had worked at Oney's Milky Way Farm, Bacon Chevrolet, Bill Harris Chevrolet, Sanders Sunoco and Mayflower. In 2008 Shawn started Sanders Auto and had been the South Central School District bus mechanic for the past few years. He was a member of the Ohio School Bus Mechanics Association. Shawn enjoyed restoring old cars, fishing, hunting and camping at the Country Stage Campground in Nova. He enjoyed helping people. He is survived by his wife, Tara (Winans) Sanders, whom he married July 3, 2008; children, Kendall and Wyatt Sanders, Robyn and Whitney Weisenberger and Nathaniel Rogers; 2 grandsons, James and Landen Thomas; parents, Terry and Charlotte Sanders of Greenwich; siblings, Sheree (Rick) Whiteside, Shannon Sanders and Sherrod Sanders all of Greenwich; mother-in-law, Karen Felver, father-in-law, Paul (Sunday) Winans; grandmother, Nora Simons; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather, George Simons, paternal grandparents, Bill and Loretta Sanders. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Greenwich First Baptist Church, 96 Towsend St., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jack Kiskaden of the Trinity Temple Church, Milan officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich.
