Shirley A. Griffin, 78, of Ruggles, died on October 13, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.  Shirley was born on August 3, 1943 in Lodi, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (nee Weber) Curry.  Shirley attended Black River Schools and was a resident of Ruggles Township most of her life.

Shirley spent most of her life farming.  She was employed by Kent Sporting Goods and retired after 20 plus years.  Shirley was an excellent cook and made the best pies and bread.  She loved the color pink and enjoyed listening to country music.  Shirley attended the Ruggles Church.  She was a friend to many, too many to count.  An avid Lake Erie lover, she enjoyed many trips to the lake with her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her children, Tamie (Rick) Bechtel, Trudy (Brad) Bowman, Rebecca (Stephen) Shafer and Georgia (Josh) Anderson; 9 grandchildren, Samantha, Abby, Rachel, Melissa, Eric, Jessica, Nevaeh, Cody and Destiny; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Debbie (Tom) McQuate and her beloved cat, Cricket.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Griffin in 2019 and brothers, Charlie (Marge) Curry, Jean Curry and Bobby Curry.
