On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Shirley M. Holden Reed, age 82, loving mother and grandmother passed away at Mercy Willard Hospital. Shirley was the daughter of William and Bernice (Knickmeyer) Becker. She was born March 23, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1954, Shirley attended Firelands BGSU and received her real estate license. She lived in the Huron County, Ohio area for 60 years. Shirley worked at GTE, WSOS and Shaffoe Realty. Shirley cherished her children and grandchildren. She especially loved attending their activities. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, John Holden. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Cathy Osborne and Carol Holden; grandchildren, Christy (Chris), Ron Jr. (Brandy), John, Tony (Kim), Terry and Leanna; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher Jr., Andrew, Jacob, Eli, Hannah and Zeke and a sister, Carol Buckland. A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at The Assembly of God Church, 107 East Main St., North Fairfield, Ohio 44855. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 5:30 p.m.
