Shirley Jones, 72, of Willard, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Willard with her family by her side.  She was born September 28,1951 in Willard to the late Catherine (Schultz) and Henry R. Shafer Sr.  Shirley was a lifelong resident of Willard and worked as a nurse's aide at Hillside Acres for several years as well as ran a daycare out of her home.  She was a member Willard Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed crafting, crocheting, baking, making family videos, but spending time with her family especially her grandchildren she cherished most.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Nadine (Sean) Endsley of Willard, Michele (Linc) Feltner of Willard, Curtis (Tonya) Jones of New Washington; grandchildren, Emily Johnstone, Taylor (John) Weltlin, Kameron Jones, Bren Jones, Kora Jones; great-grandchildren, Mason, Kadance, Xavior, Kylee, Hyram, Cyrus, Cohen; siblings, Richard Shafer, Robert (Imogene) Shafer, John (Pat) Shafer, Paul (Bridget) Shafer, Peggy Dull, Sharon Combs, sister-in-law, Karen Shafer; brother-in-law, Jim Jones.  Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy B. Jones; granddaughters, Laura Kay Hunt, Amber Lynch; brothers, Charles Shafer, Henry Shafer Jr., Gary Shafer; sisters, Karen Louise Shafer, Connie Jones, Janice Shepherd; sister-in-law, Peggy Shafer.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 5, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 4414 Townline Road 12 West, Willard and again on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Attica Venice Township Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene.  Eastman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jones family.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
