Norwalk, Ohio - Shirley Jean (Price) Lehan, 91, of Swanton, Ohio, a former resident of Norwalk, Ohio, for 43 years, passed away Wednesday evening, May 11, 2016 in Swanton Valley Center. She was born April 2, 1925 in Davenport, Iowa, to the late Dewey M. and Mary C. (Landers) Price. Shirley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio. She was an avid Bridge player, and also enjoyed Euchre, Hearts, South Carolina, pretty flowers, ice cream, car rides and traveling, John McEnroe, sharing stories, tall tales, and paperback books. Shirley was also a former resident of Summerville, South Carolina, Fargo, North Dakota, Peoria, Illinois, Muscatine, Iowa, Springfield, Illinois, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, LaLogote, Indiana, Bellevue, Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, and Holland, Ohio. She is survived by her children, Susan Lehan, of Toledo, Ohio, Nancy (Roger) Rife of Swanton, Ohio, and Michael (Carole) Lehan of Columbia, Maryland. Shirley is also survived by her grandchildren, Ralph Rife (Inga Groot), Matt Rife, Mandy Rife (Tim Phillips), Nick Lehan, and Chris Lehan (Kate Lehan), by her great grandchildren, Bosco Rife, Simone, Abel, and Neve Phillips, by her niece, Betsy Blocker (Ray Blocker), and Tom Hamann, and by her beloved friends, Betty McCarty, Jane Kirkhoff, and Alice (Blackwood). Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Lehan, and by her sister, Dorothy Hamann. Friends may call on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 12:00 noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 38 West League Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Anthony Recker will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
