Shirley A. Seifert, 83, of New London, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.  She was born on December 8, 1939 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Lilly Bell (Moreland) McKenzie.

Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children.  Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life.  She adored them and relished at the opportunity to spend time with them.  Shirley was a people person and could strike up a conversation with anyone.  She loved tending to her flower gardens and had a love for animals, including the turkeys and chickens her family raises.  She spent a lot of time with her dog Daisy and was thankful for her companionship.

Shirley is survived by her children, C. Wayne (Pamela) Hill of AK, Sheri (Donald) Wadlow of AL, Julie (Darren) Hartley of New London; grandchildren, Candice, Kaylyn, Chance, Chelsea, Felicia, Taylor, Josh and Zach; great-grandchildren, Rilee, Kinslee, Mason, Arya, Rowyn and Kylan.  In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Seifert; two sons, Mark Hill, David Eldridge and several siblings.
