Shirley Y. Rose, 89, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Heritage of Marysville.  She was born on July 2, 1935, in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, to the late Richard and Lillian (White) Ousley.

Shirley moved to Norwalk from South Amherst in 1969.  She was a beautiful person with a wonderful sense of humor.  She was fiercely independent, but loved by all.  She retired from Maple City Ice in 1999 as a Bookkeeper.  She also did bookkeeping for Jennings Ready Mix and enjoyed volunteering at Gaymont Nursing Home.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Joyce Drake of Marysville, Ohio; sons, Jerome Rose of Orange Park, Florida, and Timothy Rose of Marysville, Ohio; sister, M. Joyce Ousley and longtime friend, Patty Oates of Connecticut.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Ousley and Lloyd Ousley.

A memorial visitation for Shirley will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
