Shirley A. Wendling, age 56 of New London, died Sunday July 22, 2007 in New London after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Wendling was born February 16, 1951 in Wellington, daughter of the late, Robert & Mary (Pay) Farnsworth. She had lived in the New London and Spencer areas, and in Wellington most of her adult life. Since retirement she had wintered in Texas and summered in New London.
Shirley was a graduate of Wellington High School. She worked as a machinist at Rockwell International and Forest City Technologies both in Wellington. She was a member of the Wellington VFW auxiliary and the Wellington Eagles.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dan; a son, Keith (Jacquelline) Wendling of Elyria; step father, Charles Roberts of Wellington; a brother, Glenn Farnsworth of Ashland; and 2 step sisters, Tammy Phillips of Wellington and Kim Gayhart of Nova. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Yaples; a brother, Norman Farnsworth; and a half brother, Gary Roberts.
Family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington is in charge of arrangements.
