Sidney Brian Meagrow, 64, of Milan, Ohio died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at home after quietly and courageously battling lung cancer.  He was born on January 2, 1956 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Norma (Dailey) and Paul Jr. Meagrow.  Brian grew up in Avery, Norwalk and Milan, Ohio, graduating from Norwalk High School in 1975, where he was a part of the 1974 Class AA Football State Championship Team.

He had worked for Norwalk Furniture and Brooker Brothers before spending much of his career with Norfolk & Southern, as a railroad crane operator.

Brian was a morning fixture at the gas station, his daily cup of coffee was often intertwined with lively conversation and good friends.  He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, football, softball, weightlifting, golf, watching the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Kathy (Ringholz) Meagrow; their children, Amy (Charlie) Myers of Castalia, OH and Brandon (Jen) Meagrow of Norwalk, OH; stepfather, Dave Sprowl; grandchildren, Hudson and Jackson Meagrow and Connor Myers; siblings, Terry (Sandra) Meagrow of Norwalk, OH, Steve (Lindy) Meagrow of Norwalk, OH, Jay (Tiffany) Meagrow of Shaker Heights, OH, Jeff (Cara) Meagrow of Bath, OH and Kim (Mark) Spindler of Clyde, OH.  Brian is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Norma (Dailey) Sprowl and father, Paul Jr. Meagrow, Brian was also preceded in death by his sister, Tina Alejandro, and stepmother, Kathy Koenig Meagrow.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 where a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 beginning at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Bialorucki officiating.  Internment in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery will follow the service. Guests are required to bring and wear a mask and follow all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines.  Visitors should also be prepared for the possibility of waiting outside once capacity is reached indoors until there is room inside available.  The family is also planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857 or the American Cancer Society, Ohio Division, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
