Stan Hall, age 57, of New London, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at his home after a sudden illness. Born in New London on October 27, 1950, Stan was a 1969 New London High School graduate and a life long resident.
Stan worked for Brothers Chevrolet, Wellington and Sharpnack Chevy Olds Dealership, Willard as an auto mechanic and retired about 7 years ago. He used his love for cars to build and drive drag racing cars for many years. Stan was an active member of the IHRA and NHRA.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Vernice (nee Hinkle) Hall of New London; sister, Judy Charlton of Grove City; 2 brothers, Terry Hall of New London and Tracy Hall of West Salem; 7 nieces and nephews; 2 grand nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Stan is preceded in death by his father Clyde Hall in 1976.
Friends and family will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 19 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. Brian Ayers officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
