Eastman Funeral Home 419-929-3781 Stella P. (Williams) Britt, 89, of New London, died Friday evening, February 15, 2013 at New Life Hospice in Lorain after a short illness. She was born on July 15, 1923, in Willis Branch, West Virginia, to the late Willie S. and Elsie Mae (Phillips) Williams. In 1955 Stella moved to the New London area. She worked at the former C.E. Ward and Fraternal Supplies in New London for 48 years. Stella was a member of the United Church of Huntington. She enjoyed reading, her grandchildren and gospel music concerts. Stella is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Drema and Robert Campbell of New London; 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Mitchem of Beckley, West Virginia and Barbara Hartzel of Baltimore, Maryland and sister-in-law, Bonnie Britt of Ruggles. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Britt; son, Donald Ray Britt; siblings, Nora Covey, Hattie Bennett, Dorcus Kuhn, Wilbert Williams, Harmon Williams, Cecil Williams and Russell Williams and grandson, Robie Britt. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Rev. Stephen Carmany officiating. A private burial will take place at Ashland County Memorial Park.
