Stephen Sherry II, 62, of Wellington and formerly of Cleveland, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at the New Life Hospice Center in Lorain. Born in Bonn, Germany on June 18, 1946, Stephen was the son of the late Stephen I and Nadine Sherry. He served his country in the Army from 1969- 1974 during the Vietnam War.
Stephen worked at Fazio's Warehouse in Cleveland. He was involved in Go Cart Racing with his father, Stephen Sherry I and passed this tradition onto his son, Adam. Stephen was an avid Whizzer Collector and photographer; he also enjoyed bike riding.
Survivors include his children, Christabel (Christopher) Fash of Chicago, IL, Nicholaus Sherry of DelRay Beach, FL, Olivia Sherry of Stevensville,MT and Adam Sherry of Wellington; a grandson, Hunter Fash and a brother, James (Pam) Sherry of Amherst. Stephen was preceded in death by his daughter, Tania Sherry and his son, Stephen Sherry III.
A private burial with military rites will take place Friday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial contributions to the family in care of Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.
