Steven "Steve" B. Barman, 73, passed away on December 2nd, 2023. Steve was born on July 12th, 1950 in Norwalk, OH to the late Robert Sr. and Rachel (O'Dell) Barman. Steve grew up in Norwalk and attended Norwalk High School where he was a class of 1969 graduate.

Steve was devoted to his wife, family, and Norwalk Furniture. After graduation he began working there in the sanding department and over the years became their Chief Industrial Engineer. When Steve wasn't at work he could be found outside tinkering and fixing things. Music was the rhythm of his soul. Whether he was playing on his own drums or tuning in on the radio, his love for music was his constant companion. Steve was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and his enthusiasm for the teams never wavered.

Steve was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Barman Sr.; his mom, Rachel Barman; and his brother, Robert Barman Jr.

Steve is survived by his wife, Barb Barman; children, Christopher (Kathy) Barman; Kevin (Gretchen) Barman Sr.; Erik (Jennifer) Braddock; Rebecca (Ben) Newland; Clint (Kelly) Braddock; and Kimberly (Steven) Shuttlesworth; and his siblings, Doug (Alexis) Barman, and Andi (Marv) Ott. Steve is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 6th, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St, Norwalk. Funeral will begin immediately following the visitation at 12 p.m. (noon). Donations in Steve's memory can be directed to Southern Care Hospice.
