Eastman Funeral Home 419.929.3781 Steven Spears, originally of New London, Ohio, and most recently residing in Bradenton, Florida, succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He passed away on Saturday evening May 19, 2018 after being surrounded by his mother and three children all day. Steve was the only son of Henry Gordon and Wanda Spears, born March 4, 1967. He was a 1985 graduate of New London High School. Steve was known for his patriotism and love of friends and family. He was an active member of the American Legion, having served his beloved country in the USMC from 1986 to 1990. He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and a member of the American Legion Riders. Over the years Steve coached baseball, wrestling, and was the training officer for the Young Marines. Steve is survived by his wife, Tricia (Boone), and his three children, Austin Bradley, Allayna Noel, and Alivia Jayne all of Greenwich and his mother, Wanda (Kidd) Spears of Bradenton Florida. He is a well-loved nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Gordon Spears; as well as his paternal grandparents, George Sr. and Ganna Spears and his maternal grandparents, Worley and Lizz Kidd. Friends and family will be received Friday, May 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.at the Hileman Building in New London with Dennis Davie officiating.
