Norwalk, Ohio - Susan M. Haynes, 68, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in her home. She was born on January 24, 1950, to the late Ralph and Genevieve (Palubniak) Wessels, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She spent her childhood in Bristol Connecticut, and moved to the Norwalk area in 1970, where she raised her family. Sue had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed sharing stories about her family and her life experiences, she enjoyed scratch off tickets, and had a great love for animals, especially dogs. Sue shared many stories of training police dogs when she was younger. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Susan is survived by her children, Kelly S. Haynes, of Canton, Michigan, David M. (Tami) Haynes, of Huron, Ohio, and Carrie L. (Christopher) Meyer, of Clyde, Ohio, by her grandchildren, Taryn, Tori, Alex, Andrew, Logan, Lucas, and Samantha, by her great grandchildren, Liam, Sebastian, and Alani. She is also survived by her brother, Bruce A. Wessels, of Bristol, Connecticut, and her beloved dog, Jackson. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Ralph E. Wessels, Jr., Richard A. Wessels, Jean Hockrider, and Orla M. McPhee. Friends may call on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W.
