Susie Juke, 55, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the New Life Hospice Center in Lorain. On October 6, 1955, Susie was born to James and Patsy Peterson in Erwin, TN. She was a 1974 graduate of Wellington High School and lived in the Wellington and LaGrange areas most of her life.
For the past 9 years, Susie was a bartender at the AmVets Post 32 in Elyria. She was a life member of the AmVets Auxiliary, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Susie enjoyed reading, being outdoors and working in her yard, especially her flower beds. She also was fond of spending time with her cats.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; children, Ariel Kristine Ambrosio (Mark) Frazier, of Lorain, Brett Davis Loper, of Chamblee, GA; stepdaughter, Tracey Juke, of Elyria; grandchildren, Selena, Julianna, Marcus and Hayden. Susie is also survived by her mother, Patsy J. Simonson; siblings, Vicky L. Peterson McGuire, of Oberlin, Donna K. 'Penny' Peterson Hennessey, of Papillion, NE, Angela B. Peterson Powers, of Erwin, TN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Peterson.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 4 to 6:30 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington. Following the Visitation a gathering will be held at the Wellington American Legion, Post 8, 518 South Main, Wellington. Donations in Susie's memory may be directed to New Life Hospice, 5255 N.
