Teresa L Fehlan

Teresa L. Fehlan, 85, of Wellington, passed away on February 6, 2026, at UH Elyria after a short illness. Born May 19, 1940, Teresa grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Ohio when she was 20 years old. Dedicated to her education, Teresa went back to college in the mid-1980s, studying to be a nurse at LCCC. She spent 20 fulfilling years working as a nurse for Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin, where she made lifelong friends.

Teresa was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she served on the Bethany Altar Guild. An avid reader, she was a member of the Literary Club as well as other book clubs. Teresa enjoyed bowling in leagues and earned her 600 jacket. She also volunteered her time to the Rape Crisis Center. A talented crafter, Teresa enjoyed making cards and painting. She loved traveling and was humbled that a small-town girl was able to make her way across the globe. Her greatest pride was her family; in every way she worked to raise a caring, loving, and closeknit family. Teresa cherished time with her children and grandchildren, most recently, taking her entire family on an Alaskan cruise.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Ken) Laposky, Patricia (Kevin) Robertson, and Jennifer Fehlan-Jones (David Jones); grandchildren, Nick and Jillian Laposky, and David, Reilly, and Carter Jones; and sister, Robin (Tracy) Maguire, of CA. Teresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard in 2021.
