Theresa (Terry) Marie Hunter, 62, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 after a short illness at University Hospital in Cleveland. Born on February 27, 1955, she was the daughter of Jeanette (Wender) Burke and the late Leonard Burke. She was born in Knoxville TN and had resided in Ashland for the past 27 years. Terry had graduated from John Marshall High School and worked for many years as a case worker for Job and Family Services, later retiring to be a homemaker. Terry loved collecting statues and artifacts of Indians, Wolves and Eagles and always looked forward to frequent trips to lunch and a movie with her mother. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Buddy Hunter, children; Michael Farrell, Lisa (David) Thomas, April Hunter and Eric Hunter, siblings; Leonard and Neil Burke, Elizabeth Fleming and Sandra Osborne, along with 13 grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by her father Leonard Burke. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, 240 State Route 511, Nova, at 10:00am. A memorial celebration will follow at 11:00 with Ed Suszynski officiating. A luncheon will be held after mass. In Terry's honor, donations may be directed to the family.
