Theresa Jane (Potts) Weisenberger, September 28, 1931 – October 27, 2026.
A life well lived is measured not only in years (95 yrs), but in the love shared, the memories created, and the generations forever touched. Theresa Jane (Potts) Weisenberger leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, faith, kindness, and love.
Theresa was born on September 28, 1931, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Webster and Hilda (Hahler) Potts. Her early years were spent in the Cleveland area before moving to Norwalk where she graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church. On November 23, 1950, she married Alfred Joseph “Joe” Weisenberger, together, they shared 64 years of marriage on their farm in Norwalk, Ohio.
Family was Theresa’s greatest joy, and her proudest accomplishment. She was an outstanding cook who knew that food had a special way of bringing people together, and her kitchen was a place where family and loved ones were always welcome.
Theresa found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. An avid reader, she could always appreciate a good book. She enjoyed gardening, and in her later years, she enjoyed working on word search puzzles. She was a loyal fan of college basketball and football.
Theresa had a special way of making people feel remembered and loved. Birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays never passed without a card from her. Her family grew through the years to include children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Linda Jo Wooster, Michael (Sandi) Weisenberger, Patricia Back, Timothy (Peggy) Weisenberger, Mary (Brian) Ames, and Annette (Dan) Scheid; daughter in law: Deborah Weisenberger, 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
