Thomas Edward 'Tommy' Jordan, 71, of North Fairfield, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at
Hospice of North West Ohio in Toledo. Tommy was born in Mansfield on August 9,
1938. He was a life long resident of the Willard and North Fairfield areas and attended
North Fairfield Schools. Thomas served in the Army Reserves in the late 1950's.
He raised horses for many years at Little Buck Farm and was the care taker at Huron County Fairgrounds from 1998-2005. Thomas worked for the former CY Reed Ford Dealership in Willard as a detailer.
Tommy was an advisor for the Bronco Busters and Rawhiders 4-H club from 1967 to present. He was also a member of the the Lazy Aces Horse Club and Cleveland Metro Parks Mounted Police. Thomas was an active member of the Ohio Horse Council, Quarter Horse Association and a mentor for Youth Horse Council.
Survivors include his mother, Janice (Miller) Chisholm of Willard; his horse, Buster; siblings, Mary (Roger) Harmon of Willard, Charrlee Richtarsic of Willard, Royal (Kathy) Chisholm of North Fairfield and Kathie (Roger) Williams of Fremont. He is also survived by his aunt, Ruth Miller of Berkey, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step nieces, nephews and special friends Dave and Jane Daniels of Bellevue. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Jordan; stepfather, Charles B. Chisholm; nephews, Jeremy R. Chisholm and Christopher G. Passeno; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a step nephew.
Family and friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at
Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich and from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can
be directed to Huron Co. Ohio Horse Council, 180 Milan Ave., Suite 1, Norwalk, OH 44857 or in care of the funeral home and any hospice of the donor's choice.
