Thomas G. Kiser, 69, of Penfield, died October 29, 2011 after a short illness. Thomas was born in Elyria on February 8, 1942 to the late Gilbert and Edith (nee Beam) Kiser. He was a 1960 graduate of Elyria High School. Following graduation, Thomas attended DeVry Tech for 2 years and in 1970 he moved to Penfield with his family.
Thomas worked as a Mechanic at C. P. Gilgenbach Construction and eventually owned and operated K&T Automotive in Penfield. He was currently working for the Rural Lorain County Water Authority as a Water Monitor. Thomas enjoyed spending time in his garage and had restored a 1973 Duster and enjoyed showing it. He also liked to garden but most important to him was the time spent with his family and grandkids.
Thomas is survived by his wife Karen (nee Smith); sons, Steven (Danielle) Kiser of Spencer, serving in the Army Keith Kiser of Fort Huachuca AZ, Danny Kiser of Penfield, and Kenny (Brenda) Kiser of Sullivan; and grandchildren, Caleb, Hayley, Abbey, Kaiden and Emily. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Smith of Spencer, and Rita Behnke of Elyria. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother Donald.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 1, from 4-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, and on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main St. Wellington, Fr.
