Norwalk, Ohio - Thomas M. Routh, 68, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was born October 21, 1949 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Martin and Viola (Kuemmel) Routh, and was a lifelong area resident. Tom graduated from Huron High School in 1967 and was a 1971 graduate of The Ohio State University. He was the Chief Executive Officer and President of J.H. Routh Packing Company of Sandusky, Ohio. Tom was the Chairman of the Board of Firelands Regional Medical Center, and was on the Boards of A.C.T. (Answering the Call Together), the Boy Scouts Heart of Ohio Council and many other civic and charitable organizations. He was a former member of the Norwalk City Schools Board of Education. Tom was a private pilot and an avid Ohio State University sports fan. As a husband, father and grandfather, he was wise, loyal, generous and caring - and so much more (i.e. handsome). He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christine (Robertson) Routh of Norwalk, Ohio, his brother Jack (Rosemary) Routh and sister Martha (Walt) Taylor, and by his son Ryan, married to Sarah, and their children Emma, Xavier and Polly; his daughter Leslie Macin, married to Daniel, and their children Julian and Violet; his son Adam, married to Amy, and their child Charlotte; and daughter Bridget Jablonski, married to Brandon, and their children Nolan and Delia. Friends may call on Saturday October 6 from 3-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Norwalk. Services will be held on Sunday October 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Norwalk Alliance Church, with Rev.
