Thomas J. Sawyer, 93, of New London, OH died on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Fisher Titus Medical Center.  He was born on January 3, 1928, the son of the late James and Mildred (Fitch) Sawyer.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Hiedi (Ken) Rice and Jennifer (Jacob) Carter; grandchildren, Channon, Justin, Chelsea, Kaleb, Wyatt, Dakota, Morgan, Julia, Jordan, Jayda and Justice; sisters, Rody, Elaine and Twink.  Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Norma in 2020, together they shared 54 years of marriage.

Thomas proudly served in the US Army, during the Korean War.  He retired as an aviation mechanic and was passionate about all things aviation.  During retirement, Thomas spent many hours cutting firewood; he enjoyed this hobby and was well known for his firewood.
