Obituary

Thomas G. Seifert, age 72, of New London, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. He was born October 14, 1942 in Seneca County, Ohio, son of the late Oswald and Agnes (Wagner) Seifert. Thomas had lived in Attica and New London. He had served in the United States Army. He retired as a lineman from GTE after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Willard V.F.W. Thomas enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles, NASCAR and fishing. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed following their activities and sports events. Thomas looked forward to going to McDonald's every morning with his friends. He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Shirley (McKenzie) Seifert; his children, Wayne (Pam) Hill, Sheri (Donald) Wadlow, Julie (Darren) Hartley, David Eldridge; grandchildren, Candice, Kaylyn, Chance, Chelsea, Felicia, Taylor; great grandchildren, Rilee and Kinsley. Thomas was one of 17 siblings many of which have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son, Mark. Friends may call from 5 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where a brief service will be held around 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Mead officiating.
