Timothy R. Boyer, 71, of Vermilion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Sepember 17, 1953, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to the late Clarence W. and Edmonia (Phelps) Boyer. He graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Malone College.

Timothy served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1994. He had also worked for Chapter One Bank (Citizens Bank), and Step by Step Job Coaching.

Tim enjoyed genealogy, cooking, and his birds and cats. He was a member of the Pearl Road United Methodist Church in Cleveland.

He is survived by his children, Beverly (Boyer) Mitchell of Henderson, Nevada, Jennifer (Boyer) Thompson of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Amanda (Boyer) Dayman of Medowic, NSW (Australia); Siblings David W. (Denise) Boyer of Edgewater, Maryland, Paula J. Boyer of Vermilion, Ohio, Vickie B. (James) Ruffing of Berlin Heights, Ohio, and Stephen L. (Sally) Boyer of Macedonia, Ohio; grandchildren, Mya Mitchell, Lexi Mitchell, Emme, Samuel, Isla, and James Thompson, and Myles and Sullivan Dayman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence W. Boyer in 1967; his mother, Edmonia P. Boyer in 2010; and sister, Rebecca A. Katona in 2017.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2 pm. Military honors of Timothy's service to his country will be observed. A celebration of Timothy's life will be held the following day, Saturday, March 15, at the Pearl Road United Methodist Church at 1pm.
