Timothy M. Kohlmeyer, age 66, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, Ohio, died unexpectedly naturally on August 17, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 18, 1959, in Norwalk, at Fisher-Titus, to the late Robert and Barbara (Clark) Kohlmeyer and graduated from Norwalk/EHOVE.
A talented welder, artist and fabricator, Tim could create and make just about anything. He had won awards for his working duck decoys. Professionally he worked for Fabriweld Corporation, Custom Metal Works, Oglesby Construction, and J.R.’s Welding. Tim was also an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trips bear hunting in Canada.
He is survived by his siblings, John “Jack” Kohlmeyer, Tom Kohlmeyer, and Terri (Jeff) Rule; nephews and niece, Jeff Rule, Jim Rule, and Katie Kohlmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
In keeping with Tim’s wishes he will be cremated with no public services planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Norwalk Parks and Rec Dept. 38 Whittlesey Ave. Norwalk, OH 44857, where the funds may be directed to be used for the Annual Kids Fishing Derby.
